Mommy let me bring dog dog to daycare today! Yippppeeeeee! The kids are loving him so far and Vaia thinks he’s awesome.
Still no baby, but in anticipation of it’s arrival, I’ve been waking up a lot at night and forcing mommy and daddy to sleep in my spare bed. Works like a charm.
We read somewhere that drinking champagne might make the baby come faster, so it looks like that’s what we’ll be doing this weekend- sounds a little irresponsible to me, but mommy and daddy said something about the baby being fully cooked anyway. Well that doesn’t mean it has to be fully toasted guys…why must I be the most responsible family member???
Mommy and I had an awesome day today. I could anticipate that we were going to do a lot, so I made sure to get super early to squeeze it all in.
Here are a few things we did:
Went to shoppers and hung out on the bench outside til it opened
Were the only/first people at the withrow playground
Hung out with friends at the fence of their daycare
Went to a gymnastics class
Visited Dr. Inch for my two year check up- I weigh 24 pounds!
BUT. The biggest highlight was going to corktown commons.
It’s been on my bucket list since it opened, and man is it ever cool. There’s a frog pond and paths, and squishy surfaces and slides- it was so awesome, and you can even see the go trains going by. It’s very hard to find because it’s hidden amongst condos and construction, but it’s worth sleuthing out. Mommy and I went down this super steep slide together and then after we both looked at each other and thought- hmmmm hope the baby likes slides! Here’s a link to the site:
Also, after the park we went to the market for dinner. We shared a lobster bisque from buster’s sea cove. It was so delicious, I kept asking for more. The Wilson Family ( perhaps the single most family members who follow my blog apart from my own family) don’t like seafood. So sorry for talking about lobster bisque, but you should still try it. And let Tyson make up his own mind about seafood.
I digress….a great, great day! I hope that when this baby comes mommy still wants to party this hard with me :)
Birthdays are THE BEST! Mommy made me pancakes for breakfast! Then I got to go to Vaia’s for a little bit and we had a party! We had loot bags and ate my leftover head of the caterpillar cake. I was very popular with the other kids. Mommy picked me up early and we went to my favourite slide at withrow. I also got to FaceTime and Skype with some of my favourite people.
Happy Second Birthday to me! Here’s a little throwback to my actual birthday for y’all! I’d say aging agrees with my looks! I’ve also gotten a better sense of style since that day (actually wearing SOMETHING-duh).
Hey sportsfans, check out me doing so much learning at my table! It is making me really smart! Little buddy loves sitting at it too. Here I am showing him about colouring outside of the lines. I also taught my grandpa Shaughnessy how to read- he really appreciated it!
Holy! Birthday parties are the best! I had such a lovely time today. I am so lucky to have so many friends and family who love me so much. The theme of my part was from the book very hungry caterpillar- I would highly recommend it. Very easy….not that I did anything to help! I am tuckered out! Turning two is exhausting. (But just for the record I’m not two til Tuesday!)
Goodbye sweet sandals…..
Ive worn these sandals every single day since the middle of June. They make me so fast and jump so high. Mommy and daddy say they don’t owe me anything anymore, especially since they were free hand me downs. My toes are hanging over the edges now and the soles are splitting but I am very sad to see them go.
